How long have you been in business?
ICS Radiation Technologies, Inc. was started in April 1986. ICS Electronics Co. was started in 1969 and was later incorporated into ICS Radiation Technologies, Inc.
What is your primary product or service?
Radiation Effects Testing of Semiconductor devices and materials.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I first became interested in electronics when in high school. I received my first Amateur Radio License in 1954, at the age of 14. I have been active ever since. My amateur radio call letters are K6ICS. That is where the ICS came from for my business names. I received my first commerical Radio Telephone/RADAR license when I was 16 years old. I started working in the Aerospace industry when in college in 1958. I have worked for most of the major and many of the minor aerospace companies as an employee or consultant until starting ICS Radiation Technologies in 1986.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are the only independently owned radiation effects testing company in the world. We are family owned and have over 50 years experience in R&D and component testing and 35 of those years in Radiation Effects testing.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one office location. Testing is done worldwide at radiation facilities that meet the customers test requirements.

Our office is located near the I-5 and I-605 freeway interchange in Downey, CA (12 miles Southeast of Los Angeles).
What type of payments do you accept?
Direct billing on approved accounts or payment in advance. We accept checks and major credit cards (VISA, M/C, AMX, and Discover)

Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
This is a woman owned company. Owners are Margaret A. Gauthier (daily operations) and Dr. Michael. K. Gauthier, P.E. (Technical operations).
